Positive Behaviour and Wellbeing (PBW)
Positive Behaviour and Wellbeing (PBW) is a whole-school approach that supports a safe, positive and effective learning environment for all students.
At Comet State School, PBW helps us teach, model and reinforce positive behaviour, supporting students to be successful both academically and socially.
How does PBW support students?
PBW helps students to:
- understand clear behaviour expectations
- develop positive social and emotional skills
- make responsible choices
- build positive relationships
- spend more time focused on learning.
How can families support PBW?
Families can support PBW by:
- talking about our school expectations: Respectful, Responsible, Safe and Learners
- recognising and reinforcing positive behaviour at home
- discussing the weekly behaviour focus with their child.
By working together, we help every student AIM HIGH in their learning, behaviour and wellbeing.
