​Students participate in LOTE (Languages Other Than English) once a week through Distance Education and Queensland Virtual Academy (QVA) technology twice a week. Comet State School is also supported by visiting specialist staff, including Guidance Officers, Speech Language Pathologists and other departmental support personnel, who provide additional support to students as required.​
